Getting Back to Gratitude

A little while back my smart brother-in-law suggested I write something every day for the blog. He also said something along the lines of we can all think of one original thought a day to share with the world. That’s paraphrased, but you get the point. He’s wise, and he publishes a blog post every single day (you can read them here). He’s also a lot more disciplined than I am with goalsetting and tackling those set goals. He has a book in the world. I don’t. So, I thought I’d finally heed his advice. I really need a positive goal to work toward right now too, and it’s November – the month of Thanksgiving – no better time than now.

Today, I’m grateful for the ability to earn money that meets the needs of my family. It isn’t easy money. I’m tested daily, but I’m fortunate to have an honest income. Our mortgage will be paid. We will be dry and safe. We will have food on the table and vehicles to get us to and fro. Our needs are met and a tiny bit more. In this economy, I am more than grateful for that.
